He's My Twin Brother
A young man was calling his new girl friend.
“Dear Polly, do you still enjoy my company?”
“Yes, but I was going to ask you the same question.”
“You what? Answer my question first. Why didn't you greet me when I met you at the apartment gate last night?”
“Last night? Let me see. Oh, I was looking after my grandpa in hospital these past few nights. The girl you met must be my twin sister. Now, why did you avoid me the other day when you were with a girl in a department store?”she asked in earnest.
After a pause, the boy answered,“Well, the man you met must have been my twin brother.”
他是我的同胞兄弟
一位年轻小伙子打电话给他新结识的女朋友。
“亲爱的波莉，你喜欢和我在一起吗？”
“喜欢，不过我正要向你提同样一个问题呢。”
“什么？你先回答我的问题。昨天晚上在公寓大楼门前见到你，你为什么不理我？”
“昨天晚上？让我想想。噢，这几天晚上我一直在医院护理我爷爷。你见的那个姑娘一定是我同胞妹妹。那么，那一天在百货商店里你和一个姑娘在一起的时候，为什么躲着我？”她十分严肃地问。
停了一下，他回答说：“哦，你见到的那个男的肯定是我的同胞兄弟。”
